What is Labiaplasty?

1. Consultation

2. Preparation

4. Surgical Technique

• Trim Technique: The most straightforward method, where excess labial tissue is trimmed away directly, and the edges are sutured together.
• Wedge Technique: A pie-shaped wedge of tissue is removed, and the remaining edges are sutured together, maintaining the natural border but reducing the overall size.
• Additional techniques or adjustments may be made based on individual needs and goals.

5. Closure

• The incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures that naturally absorb over time.

6. Recovery

• Immediate postoperative care involves rest and application of cold packs to reduce swelling.
• Patients are usually advised to avoid strenuous activities, sexual intercourse, and tampon use for a specified period (typically 4-6 weeks) to allow for healing.
• Pain, swelling, and discomfort are common but generally manageable with prescribed or over-the-counter pain relief.

7. Follow-up

8. Outcome Evaluation
