What Is Breast Lift?

By nature, the breasts are quite soft and sensitive. There are many reasons why it sag. The most obvious reasons are as follows: gravitational force, the phenomenon of aging, rapid or intense weight gain – loss, frequent weight gain – loss, pregnancy process, breastfeeding process, not choosing the right bra. Breast lift surgery, which is often requested by women who have experienced pregnancy and breastfeeding periods, can have a beautiful aesthetic appearance even in the old state. Having a large breast can also be listed as one of the only causes that can cause the breast to sag. It is possible to get rid of the sagging breast image in a short time by using methods appropriate to the degree of sagging of the breasts. If your nipples are located at the top of the area where the breast folds, there is no cause for aesthetic concern. The further down the line your nipples are folded, the more sagging intensity there is. Especially if your nipple and nipples are located near the fold area or even below the fold area, then our need for breast lift surgery is at the line stage.

How Is Breast Lift Performed?

For breast lift surgery, you must first undergo a preliminary examination. During this examination, your breasts are examined. The amount of your nipple, nipple and mammary gland is measured. You also indicate your requests and requests to your doctor during this preliminary examination. Your doctor gives you answers to all your questions. If the sagging rate of your breasts is at a slight level, that is, if your mammary gland rate is in its normal course, then it is enough to use silicone breast implants. Through silicone prostheses, your breasts are easily delivered to an upright, plump and alive position. But if your sagging intensity is too high and your mammary gland ratio is too low, then both silicone prosthesis are placed on your breasts and the recovery process is performed on your breasts.

TYPES OF BREAST LIFT

  1. Crescent Breast Lift

For women with only a minor degree of sagging to fix by making a small incision halfway around the top part of the areola’s edge. A crescent lift is often performed only when a patient is simultaneously having breast augmentation.

  1. Peri-Areolar Breast Lift

Women who have modest sagging but would benefit from a breast lift are frequently suitable candidates for a peri-areolar lift. This procedure, like the crescent lift, comprises a circular incision going around the edge of the areola and is usually performed in conjunction with breast augmentation.

  1. Vertical Breast Lift

A cosmetic surgeon to remove superfluous skin and contour the entire breast, leaving just minor, easily hidden scars which entails two incisions: one along the areola’s edge and one going vertically from the bottom of the areola to the inframammary fold, forming a “lollipop” shape.

Breast Lift Risks

Breast lift surgery does not cause intense pain. If the prosthesis is to be used simultaneously, there may be pain in your breast tissue in the first few days with arm movements. 3 days after surgery, you will have a bandage that wraps around the front wall of the chest. After that, you will remove the bandage and start using a half-athlete-style sports bra instead. After the bandages are removed, you can take a shower. The sutures used during surgery are soluble sutures and do not need to be removed. Rarely, a few stitches can be thrown on the skin, and these stitches are removed within a week. At first, your breasts may appear swollen and disfigured when your bandages are removed after breast surgery.

You may notice an asymmetry between the pot or two breasts in the vertical incision area under the breast decal. These are included in the normal process and improve in an average of 1 month. But it should be noted that if there is an asymmetry between the two breasts before surgery, this will continue after surgery. One half of the human body is always different from the other, and 100% symmetry is out of the question. After breast surgery, it can take 6 months to 1 year to fit the full shape, improve the scars and loss of sensation in the skin decongestment.

Recovery Process After Surgery

After surgery, it often does not require hospital admission and you are discharged within the same day. During the day, your first dressing is done and the bandages are removed. Healing of the wound site continues on average for 10-15 days. It takes an average of 3 months for the breast to get its old consistency and fit the shape. But the healing process that you don’t notice takes 1 year.

Mastopexy (breast lift) surgery can be performed alone or in combination with implant placement. Breast implant applications increase breast size, but also provide fullness at the top. Breast lift surgery helps the patient recover from the saggy breast structure, while prosthetics should be used for fullness in the upper breast.

Each surgical technique has its own unique scars. The healing process of scars depends entirely on the patient’s skin structure and genetic predisposition. In some patients, traces decrease significantly within 6 months, while in others, improvement continues for 2 years or even longer. In the vertical technique that is applied, the lower horizontal mark is kept minimal or not applied at all, especially the armpit pots or obvious marks in this area can be prevented.
